AUTH=true verifies signatures and authorizes S3 Tables, Glue Iceberg, RDS Data and SES v2, plus IoT, Cognito and S3 parity fixes

October 20, 2026 · v1.5.30

v1.5.30 tightens AUTH=true: signatures of IAM user and STS session keys are verified, credentials the signature does not cover are refused, and RDS Data, S3 Control tagging, SES v2, S3 Tables and Glue Iceberg calls are authorized. AppSync and API Gateway follow each API's own authorization type. Cognito user pools store their feature plan, IoT holds MQTT clients to the reserved topics AWS allows, S3 applies the x-amz-grant-* headers and each Block Public Access setting, and CloudWatch composite alarms follow their rule.
